Hideouts

This is where you save your game and store a car(s). If you put a vehicle in the garage, it will be automatically repaired for free, even if it's a blown up car. This is also where the extra goodies are stored, which you have earned by doing the emergency vehicle missions. There will always be a Baseball Bat here though.

Once you get pickups at your hideouts, you can accumulate great amounts of ammo by constantly leaving then reentering your hideout area, entering and exiting your garage, or going to the save point and then exiting again.

Items

Heart
=====
This will replenish your health to 100 again. You can find them at hospitals, and in some out of the way places on each island. It looks like a heart.

Body Armor
==========
This gives you an extra life meter, for armor strength. You can buy them at the Ammu-nation in Staunton, you can find them inside Enforcers, or you can look for them throughout the islands yourself. It looks like a green shield.

Rampage Icon
===========
This begins a rampage, where you must kill a certain amount of something in a limited amount of time with one particular gun. They look like a skull, and are pretty tricky to find. Look at my Rampage FAQ for a listing on where they are.

Police Bribe
==========
These take your wanted level down by one. They look like a yellow star and are in out of the way places.

Adrenaline Pill
============
This gives you superhuman strength outside of a vehicle, and produces Matrix-like effects. If you punch someone they'll fly 20 feet away. You can also damage vehicles just by running into them and push them much better than if you were using your normal strength. It looks like a pill of course.

 Rampages

This is triggered by special icon you can find which will start up a Rampage, where you are supposed to kill a certain amount of something with a particular weapon in 120. You'll get $5,000 for completing the first rampage, $10,000 for the second, and so on and so on until you get $1,000,000 for the last one.

If you can, do these rampages before you make the gangs angry. That way you can fire freely at them and they won't shoot back. My guide assumes that you have already made the gangs angry, and that you're not using these handy tips below.

All you need to do is have one star in your wanted level, and have a policeman follow you when you pick up the icon. When the rampage starts the policeman will still follow you, but because he is there the gangs won't shoot at you. Leaving you to freely pop them off without any hassle. Except for a policeman that randomly punches you in the back of the head.

The Rhino cannon will work on ANY rampage that doesn't require a headshot (for example, the Yardie/Sniper Rifle rampage in Staunton). You don't have to use the Uzi at all, although if you are on an Uzi or Drive-By mission, those will count as normal.

Furthermore, running over vehicles will count on missions where vehicles are the target (i.e. the Rocket Launcher rampage in Portland), but running over gang members won't count. It's hard to shoot people with the Rhino turret, so I recommend aiming at walls, vehicles, or poles/trees. The resulting explosions should kill any passerby gang-banners.

Portland Rampages

RAMPAGE 1 - Destroy 13 vehicles in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Rocket Launcher
LOCATION 1 - Inside the building's courtyard that is across the street from the old school hall/Trenton
LOCATION 2 - Inside the fence of the big building just to the east of Greasy Joe's Diner/Callahan Point
BETTER LOCATION - 2

Location 2 is better because if you start blowing up cars at location 1, then vigilante citizens will come after you. It's really hard to kill them with the rocket launcher without killing yourself. You'll have to get in your car and drive-by them, wasting time.

Location 2 is near a highway that has no pedestrians, so you can blow up cars without much interruption. Go west down the highway, in the opposite direction of traffic. Use a car because you move very slowly when holding a rocket launcher. Cars should come down the freeway towards you. Blow them up. When you get to Greasy Joe's Diner, there are three freebie vehicles for you to blow up there.

Continue gradually moving down the highway. After destroying 12 cars, destroy the car you are driving to make it 13.

I highly recommend location number 1, the building across the street from the old school hall. Here are some good tips:

[1] Before you start the rampage, steal some passing cars from the intersection and gather them inside the building. I've never managed to store more than 3 cars, but that'll help.

[2] Start the rampage, blow up whatever cars you've stored. Try to pick off any passing traffic you see. Be very careful about hurting yourself.

[3] Run inside the building, grab the police bribe if necessary, and then run up the ramp at the other side of the building. From here, you can easily shoot at passing traffic with no heroes running up and punching you. Even better, the cops can't get you either. This rampage is officially a cinch.

RAMPAGE 2 - Kill 25 Triads in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Uzi
LOCATION 1 - Inside the building's courtyard that is across the street from the park/Chinatown
LOCATION 2 - Back of Supa Save/Trenton
BETTER LOCATION - 2

At location 1, when you start killing Triads, Triad Fish Vans will come after you, and that could be a pretty big problem. If you get the icon at location 2, Triads will start appearing in the area, even though it's not their usual territory. The advantage to this is that there won't be any gang cars backing them up.

Get in a car and drive-by them. I think this is the best way to kill them. If you can, get hold of a bulletproof vehicle or a Rhino. Shoot one Triad, and a bunch of other Triads should run right over. While they rush over to wrench the door open, you can shoot them full of holes. Also, if you have a tank, you can use the cannon to get your score higher. You have to be doing a drive-by for it to count.

RAMPAGE 3 - Murder 30 Diablos in 120 seconds
WEAPON - M16
LOCATION 1 - The alley behind the building across the street from Sex Club 7/Red Light District
LOCATION 2 - Behind the old school hall in the park/Chinatown
BETTER LOCATION - 2

I favor location 2 because it is out of Diablo territory, and it has a place you can go where you are easily sheltered from attack while killing the Diablos. Even though the Diablos only have baseball bats, they'll gang up on you a lot. Once, I must have had at least 20 of them after me at the same time! You need to be careful not to get surrounded while fighting them. Run away if you get caught in a pack of them.

At location 2, grab the attention of the Diablos, then run to the fenced-off area under the bridge where the seven car ramps are. The Diablos will have a real hard time trying to get around the low fence. While they are all confused, you can stand out of reach of their bats and shoot them with your M16 through the fence.

You can do this at the basketball court too, but it's harder to keep the Diablos from getting inside with you. If you want to do it this way, run over the ramp in the basketball court and jumping down outside the court. The Diablos will have a hard time following you over the ramp and will get stuck behind the chain-link fence.

I also prefer the area near the basketball courts, but I did this Rampage from a slightly different spot than you. I did this both with and without the car, but to save space I'll just tell you the car method. (Same place, just without the car and a little bit more challenge.)

n the Old School Hall parking lot there are usually a couple of "PimpMobiles" as I call them (Idaho, Esperanto, etc.). Swipe one and drive over to the Rampage icon. Grab it and get back into the car. Aim yourselfso you're heading between the basketball courts and the infamous 7 lifts area. There is a small grassy hill here. Park on top of it. Get out of the car and jump on top of the car. Aim for the nearest Diablo you see.

When the chaos starts, just take them out as fast as you can and shoot the closest ones first. They won't shoot at you until they are right up against the car and they can't swing at you while you're standing up there. They are pretty much baffled by the fact that you're not on the ground and aren't too much of a threat to you. I guess Spank does that to a person. ;) If you run out of targets just turn towards either the lifts or the b-ball court for a couple seconds. When you turn back around there will be targets. Doing this, even the most hand-eye coordination challenged person can do this Rampage and still come out squeaky clean. ;)

RAMPAGE 4 - Kill 20 Mafia in 120 seconds
WEAPON - AK-47
LOCATION 1 - In a small parking lot to the east of Momma's Restaurant, on the same block/Saint Mark's
LOCATION 2 - In the long alley a block south of Momma's Restaurant, first lot on the left if going uphill/Saint Mark's (thanks to SweetPimp324)
BETTER LOCATION - 1

I don't really like Location 2 because it has little cover to hide from the Mafia's deadly shotguns. The alley's is a good place to hide from the shotgun guys, but it wastes a lot of time.

At location 1, run out into the four lane street, because more Mafia guys spawn there. Shoot some, and a lot more will come to you. Kill as many as you can, but when you hear a shotgun go off, RUN AWAY! You cannot stand up to someone with a shotgun when all you have is an AK-47. Go through the parking lot then return to the four lane street and the shotgun guys might disappear. You can now kill more of them.

RAMPAGE 5 - Kill 20 Triads in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Shotgun
LOCATION 1 - In an alley between Liberty Pharmaceticals and Mean Street Taxis/Trenton
LOCATION 2 - On a ledge behind the hospital/Portland View
BETTER LOCATION - 1

This rampage is pretty easy at both locations, but it's a bit easier at Location 1 because you are near a health powerup and the spawn points are closer. Just let the Triads come to you and blow them away with the shotgun.

RAMPAGE 6 - Destroy 10 vehicles in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Grenades
LOCATION 1 - On top of the el train tracks near the hospital/Saint Mark's
LOCATION 2 - On top of the el train tracks near Joey's garage/Trenton
BETTER LOCATION - 1

Location 1 is better because there are lots of freebie cars to blow up in parking lots nearby. Watch out for vigilante citizens who will try to stop you. Also, be sure to randomly throw grenades at passing cars. You never know when one will connect.

Jump down from the el train tracks and head for the hospital. There's two cars at Marco's Bistro up the road, but they're out of the way. Blow up the ambulance there. Next, jump the wall and go into the police parking lot. Blow up the two police cars here. This will grab the attention of the cops, but that's a GOOD thing. When the police cars pull up near you, you can blow them up for easy points.

Continue down the street. On the right side of the street a Perennial is parked. Blow it up too. Continue going down the road and you should arrive at the old school hall in Chinatown. Blow up the two cars in the parking lot there. If you still haven't met your quota, then just blow up every car you see.

Another way to do it is to block the street with a big vehicle, like a Coach, and then throw grenades at the traffic jams. You could also gather some vehicles in one place before starting the rampage for easy points to your tally.

Two things to add:

1. You can park a Coach diagonally across the intersection in front of the hospital to block traffic. It will trap cars while you're on the way to the Hospital from the tracks.

2. You can drive any narrow width car up the stairs to the EL tracks (nearest Marco's Bistro) and use that you drive to the Rampage icons. While this isn't particularly useful in itself (with the exception of getting you to the icons without having to plod that distance on foot) it does have a couple of benefits after the rampage starts. First of all, it allows you to drive to the Hospital area quickly. You will have less of a chance of running out of time if you start blowing things up sooner. Secondly, it gives you an additional car to blow up when you get there.

There's a possibility that using a car to get onto the tracks will make the Coach disappear. You might have to choose which to use. I've found that if you run from a car after getting out of it that the door will stay open. Abandoned cars with open doors tend to linger for a much longer time than cars with closed doors.

Staunton Island Rampages

RAMPAGE 7 - Torch 16 Yakuza in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Molotov Cocktails
LOCATION 1 - On the doorstep of a building on the highway bridge/Newport
LOCATION 2 - Next to 8-Ball's Bomb Shop behind the multi-story car park/Newport
BETTER LOCATION - 2

This rampage is kind of easy at both locations, as you're always friends with the Yakuza. They seem to spawn much more rapidly at location 2, and that's why I think it's easier. Also, you have much more room to work with. You'll need the extra space, because the Molotov Coctail is a dangerous weapon to use. A couple of throws gone wrong could be highly lethal.

After collecting the icon at Location 2, go to the intersection where the road leading to Asuka's condo is. A lot of Yakuza tend to appear on the road to Asuka's place, so you can nail a lot. The Yakuza won't fight back, so it's okay if you miss them. Be careful not to accidentally bounce your Molotov Cocktails off of walls or signs. You'll get burned to death if you do.

RAMPAGE 8 - Explode 25 Yardies in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Grenades
LOCATION 1 - In the alley behind the fire station/Belleville Park
LOCATION 2 - In the alley a little to the east of the Cartel compound/Liberty Campus
BETTER LOCATION - 2

The oddly shaped alley at Location 2 has a lot of room to move about, which is handy with grenades. The best strategy here is to toss grenades from the alley into the street at the Yardies. If they come after you into the alley, you can see them coming from a mile away. This will allow you to throw the grenade into position.

If they manage to get into the alley, try running away while tossng grenades. Throw a grenade ahead of you a short distance, then run past it. Jump over and over to speed away from the grenade. The Yardies will run into the grenade you if executed correctly.

This works best if the Yardies already hate your guts because they will be attracted to you like magnets. Do the location at the fire station in Aspatria.

When starting the rampage, go to the parking lot across the street (this is the parking lot where I think the Infernus for the Grand Theft Auto mission for Kenji was located). Using your strategy to kill the Yardies that wander in the alley can also kill the Yardies that hop over the shrubs. The good thing about this is that the Yard's usually line up around the fence and one grenade can wipe out 6 Yards!

Just watch out for the donut-eating pigs and the Yard's guns. Bring full armor and 125 health as always and you will be able to blow the Yardies away!

Submitted by: 007BartSimpson

Grab it at location 1, then head straight up the steps in front of the stadium. Stand about halfway up chuck them straight towards the street. The yardies respawn right in that area and you can take them out 5 to 6 at a time, taking about 30 seconds total. Submitted by: Brad Forbes

RAMPAGE 9 - Pop 17 Yardie heads in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Sniper Rifle
LOCATION 1 - On the roof of the AMCO Building/Torrington
LOCATION 2 - On one of the catwalks at Kenji's Casino/Torrington
BETTER LOCATION - 2

Location 2 is closer to street level, so you can get better shots at Yardie heads. Plus, because you are closer to the street, Yardies will spawn more quickly. After collecting the icon, leap over the railing in front of you and get down to street level. Stand between the casino buildings and far away enough from the street so the Yardies won't see you.

Only head shots count, so forget about body shots completely. From here, their heads will be arranged in a nice straight line. They'll all be patrolling the sidewalks. All you'll have to do pretty much is sweep the gun left and right to hit their heads. If you kill all the Yardies visible at the moment, look away from the street for a moment to allow them to respawn.

I highly recommend location #1, at the AMCO building. As soon as you get the icon, jump off the edge, you should land in the ground floor walkway. From here the rampage is a cakewalk, because you can kill the Yardies, and they won't fight back!

RAMPAGE 10 - Burn 25 Yakuza in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Flame-thrower
LOCATION 1 - in a parking lot in the block across the street from Love's apartment building/Bedford Point
LOCATION 2 - behind the church/Bedford Point
BETTER LOCATION - 1

This rampage is really easy, because the Yakuza are always friendly towards you. Location 1 is a little better because it's in Yakuza territory, so there will be more Yakuza around. You can pretty much beat this rampage by just running around the streets at random and burning any Yakuza you see.

They won't even shoot back at you as long as you don't drive-by them. The biggest danger is keeping the Yakuza from touching you while they are on fire.

RAMPAGE 11 - Annihilate 30 Yardies in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Rocket Launcher
LOCATION 1 - in the graveyard behind the church/Bedford Point
LOCATION 2 - behind a planter at the projects, on the block across the street from Love's apartment building/Bedford Point
BETTER LOCATION - 1

This rampage is pretty tricky, because while the rocket launcher is excellent at major property damage, it also hurts you pretty bad too. The Yardies have an annoying habit of getting in your face so you can't shoot them without blowing yourself up. And thanks to the launcher's heavy weight, you can't run fast enough to get away from them to make a shot.

I think the best way to beat this level is to fortify yourself in the glass room in the building across the street from the AMCO Building in Torrington. Be sure you have a fast car at hand so you can zip over there at the start of the rampage. Location 1 is better because it's easier to get to that room from there.

The Yardies will have a hard time getting up the stairs to get you, and you'll be able to shoot them from far away enough without getting hurt. Snipe them with the rocket launcher from the upper floor, facing the street going east past the AMCO building. The Yardies rapidly spawn on that street, allowing you to kill many of them. You can also shoot at the street below to kill Yardies hiding beneath you. Shoot the middle of the road and not the sidewalk so you won't get hurt from the blast.

You can try this at the Tw@ Internet Cafe too, but that room is too small and crowded to effectively kill Yardies without killing yourself. You could also fortify yourself on the staircase in front of the building at Location 2, with its railings and all, but you're too close to the street to shoot Yardies without hurting yourself.

RAMPAGE 12 - Destroy 8 vehicles in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Shotgun
LOCATION 1 - in the southwest corner of the park/Belleville Park
LOCATION 2 - in the northeast corner of the park/Belleville Park
BETTER LOCATION - 1 This rampage is really easy. All you have to do is jack several cars before the rampage, block the street, activate the rampage, then blast the parked cars. The chain reaction will detonate all the other cars that got stopped by your barricade. Location 1 is better because it's nearer to the street, and more cars drive down the road near it.

RAMPAGE 13 - Destroy 15 vehicles in 120 seconds
WEAPON - M16
LOCATION 1 - behind the southernmost building on the college grounds/Liberty Campus
LOCATION 2 - in the northeastern corner of the construciton area with the green unfinished skyscraper/Fort Staunton (thanks to SweetPimp 324)
BETTER LOCATION - 1

I think this rampage is kind of easy too. Gather up several vehicles, block the roadway, blast the parked cars, and the chain reaction caused by the parked cars will destroy the vehicles that got stacked up behind them. Vigilante pedestrians will attack, but they're easily taken down with the M16.

If you still can't get enough cars, try going to the stadium parking lot. You'll find several freebie vehicles here. Location 1 is easier because it is nearer the parking lot.

Shoreside Vale Rampages

RAMPAGE 14 - Remove 15 Colombian heads in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Sniper Rifle
LOCATION 1 - in the lot just west of the police station where the Yakuza trap was in the mission BAIT/Pike Creek
LOCATION 2 - on top of the storage garages behind the police station/Pike Creek
BETTER LOCATION - 1

Location 1 is far better than Location 2. You can safely get closer to the Cartel to snipe their heads, and they have a harder time spotting you there. Collect the rampage icon, then run on top of the ramp nearby. Stand close to the edge, but not right on the edge. This way you'll have clear shots at the Cartel's heads, and you won't get spotted and shot to death by them.

The Cartel are relatively close, so you can get good head shots. Only head shots count, so forget body shots completely. When you've killed all the ones you can see, look away then look back so more Cartel will spawn in.

While racking my brain trying to snipe the Colombians I found that if the icon is by the police station jump down just to the left in that little area. Run to the wall most can't see you and they are all pretty close.

RAMPAGE 15 - Splatter 20 Hoods in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Shotgun
LOCATION 1 - on top of a garage (jump from bridge above to get to it)/Wichita Gardens
LOCATION 2 - behind the blue "SUMO" sign at the Porter Tunnel entrance/Francis International Airport
BETTER LOCATION - 1

This one's kind of easy, as long as you don't let yourself get surrounded by enemies. Location 1 is better because it's near a health powerup, next to where the bridge ends by the lake. Basically just auto-aim and blast every Hood that gets in your way. Auto-aim helps you to eliminate enemies faster, reducing chances of getting ganged-up on. Preferrably attack Hoods that are alone so all of them won't surround you and fill you up with lead. Cody Knutson says it's "easy if you don't move after getting the icon," but I still like duking it out better.

RAMPAGE 16 - Fry 20 Colombians in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Flame-thrower
LOCATION 1 - behind the garage of the mansion that has a Landstalker/Cedar Grove
LOCATION 2 - near the Import/Export Garage/Cochrane Dam
BETTER LOCATION - 1

This rampage seems nigh impossible at first. The Flame-thrower has excellent stopping power, but it takes a couple seconds before the Cartel will stop shooting and burn to death, meaning they can get in some free shots before they die. You'll also be vulnerable while using the flame-thrower, because you have to stand still to use it. So if you're lucky, you'll kill maybe several of them before you die.

I however have figured out a safe way to kill them off without causing harm to yourself. After grabbing the icon at Location 1, run to the hedge wall at the back end of the backyard. Switch to overhead view. You can now safely flame all the Cartel from behind the hedge, without getting shot at. They have no way to get to you at all.

Stay on the move after you flame all Cartel in the area, so more will spawn. Also, try not to let the Cartel escape your effective range. It can be a bit hard to get enough to appear to win, but it's definitely safer and easier than taking them on in the open. I've tried several locations around Location 2 using this same strategy, but this hedge here is the most effective location I think.

RAMPAGE 17 - Driveby and destroy 7 vehicles in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Uzi
LOCATION 1 - at the entrance gate of the Punk Noodles building/Pike Creek
LOCATION 2 - behind a boulder at the bottom of the dam, where the road runs in a loop/Cochrane Dam
BETTER LOCATION - 1

This rampage is super easy if you know what to do. Just drive to the parking lot at Francis International Airport. Here you will find several cars just waiting to be blown up. Park next to each one, fill it up with lead, then move on to the next car when it catches fire. You should destroy enough cars well before the time limit expires. Location 1 is better because it is much closer to this parking lot.

RAMPAGE 18 - Destroy 15 vehicles in 120 seconds
WEAPON - Rocket Launcher
LOCATION 1 - on top of a warehouse, has stairs to get up there/Pike Creek
LOCATION 2 - behind a Badfellas billboard on the road near the entrance to Pike Creek/Francis International Airport
BETTER LOCATION - 1

Like the Rocket Launcher rampage in Portland, there will be vigilante citizens again who will try to stop you from blowing the cars up. You can't shoot them or you'll blow yourself up. Location 1 is excellent because you start on top of a warehouse, far away from the reach of those good samaritans. You're even high up enough not to get shot at by the police.

Park some cars on the road ahead of time so a traffic jam will occur, then blow up all the trapped cars. Hopefully the cops will come and that will produce even more targets for you. Move along the roof to make more cars spawn. A ton of cars appear rapidly at the intersection you can see from here that has the GASOLINE sign. This rampage is real easy as long as you stay up on the roof that you start on.

If you want to do it at Location 2, I would suggest you go to the airport parking lot, because you'll be able to destroy like half the vehicles you need there. Then go to the road that travels past the front of the airport. You can nail two freebie parked taxis there. A lot of traffic is also in that area.

RAMPAGE 19 - Splatter 20 Columbians with a car in 120 seconds
WEAPON - vehicles
LOCATION 1 - behind the FatBurgerKid sign in front of the airport's entrance/Francis International Airport
LOCATION 2 - in the woods on the southern side of the hospital/Pike Creek
BETTER LOCATION - 1

This is a rampage I HIGHLY advise a bulletproof vehicle or a tank for. Those AK47's and Uzis will blow up almost any non-bulletproof car very quickly. If you do have a bulletproof vehicle or the tank, then this rampage is pretty easy. Just run over every Colombian you see. There are less obstacles to run into on the sidewalks at Location 1.

If you don't have a bulletproof vehicle, I would recommend a vehicle that is small and has agility. Slow, bulky vehicles are easy targets for the enemies. Drive back and forth down the sidewalks, and don't slow down. Take corners as fast as you can. If you miss a Columbian, DON'T stop and turn around to get him. If you slow down too much at any time your car will get shot into Swiss cheese and blown up.

RAMPAGE 20 - Behead 20 Hoods in 120 seconds
WEAPON - M16
LOCATION 1 - behind the Squid sign on the hill in the northeastern corner of the apartment area/Wichita Gardens
LOCATION 2 - behind the GASOLINE sign near the parking lot on the giant S-curves/Cedar Grove (thanks to jjj519)
BETTER LOCATION - 1

This time you don't have a sniper rifle to shoot heads off with, so you'll need to get in close with the M16 to attack. Only head shots count, so forget targeting their bodies completely. I think the most effective way to beat this rampage is to get the Hoods to notice you by shooting some of them. Stay where you are in the open and keep shooting them. You can kill all of them pretty much just by standing still and letting them come to you.

There's a safer way if you don't want to do it that way. Location 2 is excellent because you have a guard rail to keep them from getting in your face, and the billboards to take cover behind. Run behind the billboard and back to get the Hoods to respawn.

 Shopping

There are three types of shops you can visit in Liberty City for your illegal needs.

Ammu-Nation

This is where you can buy guns, and they don't ask for ID, because everyone is trustworthy here!

Portland
Staunton Island

Pay 'N' Spray

Here, you can take any car (as long as its not a law enforcement or emergency vehicle, minus the FBI Car) and get it repaired and resprayed for $1000. This will remove your wanted level, no matter how high it is, so if you can't get away from the police, come here.
If your car is totally undamaged, you can get your car in a different color for free as many times as you want. Just drive back and forth in and out of the garage until you have the color you desire.

Portland
Staunton Island
Shoreside Vale

8-Ball's Bomb Shops

Here is where you can get a car rigged with a bomb for $1000. Press Circle to activate it. Each bomb shop in each district provides a different kind of bomb.
The Portland bomb shop will give out ignition bombs. When you arm the bomb, the car will explode when the engine is next ignited.
The Staunton Island bomb shop will give out timed bombs. After arming the bomb and leaving the car, the bomb will explode after a certain amount of time.
The Shoreside Vale bomb shop will give out remote control bombs. After arming the bomb, leave your vehicle and get a safe distance away. Cycle through your weapons until you find a detonator. Use the fire button to set off the bomb.

Securicar Cracking Garage

The garage with no number where you had to bring the Securicar to in the mission "Van Heist." is the special 'Securicar Garage'. When you bring a Securicar here you'll get a little money. The first time you bring in a Securicar, you get a $5,000 reward. The next Securicar nets you $4,500, and so on. Thus, you can score a total of $27,500 by delivering 10 Securicars to the garage.
Completing the Import/Export garage nearby this garage will allow quick access to Securicars nearby.

Import/Export Garage (Portland)

Bring cars to this garage (located in Portland Docks) to unlock a special treat. Once you've completed the list of cars that adorns the wall outside, you'll be able to walk inside and choose any vehicle from the list to drive away in!

The requested cars are: Securicar, Moonbeam, Coach, Flatbed, Linerunner, Trashmaster, Patriot, Mr Whoopee, Blista, Mule, Yankee, Bobcat, Dodo, Bus, Rumpo and Pony.

 ---Unique Jumps

There are twenty of these throughout Liberty City. You have to jump over a certain object or go a certain distance to get the bonus cash the jump awards. You will get $5,000 for the first successful jump, then $10,000, then $15,000, and so on. Daniel Feit says "you are correct about the pay scale for the jumps, but there's a bonus. Instead of $100K, the final jump is worth one MILLION dollars."

Portland Unique Jumps

#1 - Chinatown/A concrete block, next to the el train station. You must clear the pedestrian bridge to get the bonus.

#2 - Callahan Bridge/A black and yellow striped divider on the Portland side. You must clear the first beam below you and land between the two lanes on the grass below.

#3 - Callahan Bridge/A mound of dirt underneath the bridge on the Portland side. You must jump over both beams while going away from the bridge, not towards it.

#4 - Trenton/A ramp next to some semi-truck trailers at the Portland Docks. You have to get over all the trailers.

#5 - Trenton/A ramp near Liberty Sawmill. You have to jump all the way over the saw mill.

#6 - Atlantic Quays/A dirt mound on the southern docks which will allow you to leap a distance over the ocean. It's near the place where you had to leave the Mr. Whoopee truck in the "I Scream, You Scream" mission. You must successfully get over the water and land on the opposite side.

#7 - Chinatown/A ramp next to the subway. Land on the subway tracks above and make it to the Police Bribe to get credit.

#8 - Atlantic Quays/Remember where the lot was where you had to take the Mr. Whoopee truck in the I SCREAM, YOU SCREAM mission? There's a ramp just outside the lot in Atlantic Quays you need to take. Jump over the lot and the warehouse next to it to get credit.

Staunton Island Unique Jumps

#9 - Newport/Go on the divider at the highway bridge, southeast of the construction site. Go down the grass in the middle, and you'll find the ramp hidden at the end of it. You have to land near the opposite side of the bridge.

#10 - Newport/A ramp on top of the parking garage. You have to land in the second planter across the street.

#11 - Callahan Bridge/Turn left on the first road after exiting the bridge, and you'll see a room that has breakable glass in the right building. It has signs that say "tw@" in it. Drive up the stairs in this room and jump across the street to get credit.

Submitted by: Stefan Hoberg

#12 - Newport/This jump is a pile of dirt in the cargo container area, past Asuka's condo. Like the one in Portland at the Atlantic Quays, you have to jump over the ocean to the opposite side to get credit.

Shoreside Vale Unique Jumps

#13 - On the four-lane road traveling past the airport in Shoreside Vale there is a dirt road somewhere on the right. It will lead you to a partial wooden bridge. You have to successfully land on the other side of the river, on your wheels I believe.

#14 - This one is the ramps beside the hangar near the helicopters at the airport. You don't need to jump all the helicopters, only a couple. It's okay to have a crash.

#15 - This one is also the ramps beside another hanger. It's a little distance away from the one with the helicopters. Jump all the way over the hangar to get the reward.

#16 - There's yet another ramp at the airport for you, and it's the one that's at the back of the airport, where the customs hangar is in "Grand Theft Aero." Jump all the way over the hangar to get the reward.

#17 - This one is at the top of the hill in Pike Creek, where you had to lure the death squads in the mission BAIT. Jump the ramp here in the open area, and land inside the closed-in lot below you. It's got barbed-wire fencing.

#18 - This jump is in the very same lot as number 17, only it's in an alleyway to the right of the jump. Land beyond the storage garage.

#19 - There is a FOURTH jump in the airport, and it's the easiest one. As you enter the runway area, before reaching any of the other three jumps, you should see a plane with stairs against it. Jump over the plane.

#20 - Start at your hideout (after saving, of course). Cross the street and drive down the grass hill onto the road. Turn right. Drive fast, really fast, up the hill, past the tunnel entrance, through the graffitied underpass, straight towards the dam. As you reach the top of the hill, the road curves into a right hand turn. Don't turn right; drive straight off the cliff. You should clear the river and land in the small park to the left of the dam's base. I don't think you even need to land right side up.

  ---Vehicle Tips

Getting In Vehicles
===============
To enter any unlocked vehicle, be it car, train, boat, or plane, press TRIANGLE. Press TRIANGLE to get out. The best way to stop a moving car is to stand in front of it or leave another car in front it to make the driver stop, then quickly move to the side door and push the driver out.

Carjacking
=========
Some people will see what you are packing, and will gladly hand over their car if you try to take it. But others may try to fight back if you stick around. Also beware that there are other carjackers who will attempt to steal your ride as well. When traveling through rough territory like Chinatown, be careful. If you stop for too long, enemy gang member around will try to throw you out of the car!

Jacking a police vehicle is a little trickier. Unlike every other dim-witted motorist in the city, they actually lock their doors. If you attempt to jack a police car on the road, the door lock will stop you and the cop will jump out to arrest you. Fortunately, after he slams his door, all the doors will be unlocked. Wait until you hear his door slam or the lock will still stop you.

IMO the best way to jack a police car is to try to open the passenger side door, let the cop slam the driver's side door, then open your door and zoom away fast before the cop can wrench open the door again and arrest you.

Jacking a gang car is also a little trickier than a civilian vehicle. If you take a gang car, all his fellow gang members and cars in the area will immediately swarm over you to kick your butt. You had best get away as fast as you can.

Also beware parked cars. Some of the parked cars you see have their doors locked, and sometimes the car alarm will activate if you take one of them. You should wait in a quiet area for the alarm to stop, because if a cop sees you driving a vehicle with the car alarm on, he's going to try to stop you.

When It's Time To Bail Out
======================
You should abandon the vehicle you are in if its about to be destroyed. If your car catches fire, GET OUT. That's the signal your car is about to explode, and it's going to take anything around it with it. Also your car has flipped over on its top and won't go back up, then get away fast because the car will catch fire soon and blow up.

GTA Vice City

---Save Houses

Another interesting thing about GTA:VC is that you have the option to buy your own save houses. The good thing about this is, is that when you earn more money, you can buy a bigger house and keep more cars, and eventually even a helicopter!

Here are the locations that you can buy as a hideout. To save game, use the Pink Videotape which you will find at each of them.

To buy a house, you have to stand in the pink circle in front of it, and providing you have enough money, push L1 to buy it.

Thanx to Tomás M. Splasky for the directions..... But they kinda sucked, so i wrote my own. Thanx for trying tho. ---Psy---

East Island

For Each Of These Hideouts You Will Start From The Hardware Store On Washington Beach, Until I Say Otherwise.

1102 Washington Street: $3,000

From the Hardware store head South. Once you get over the bridge keep going
South, and you will see a large, multi-coloured building on the right. This is
the hideous. So pull into the car park, and walk up to the front to buy it.

Ocean Heights: $7,000

From the Hardware Store, head South, take the first left, then take the first,
and only possible right. Follow it down and take the 3rd left (on a road) and
you will see the house on the corner, as soon as you go to turn, its red and
white.

Has 1 Garage.

From Now You Are Going From The MOST NORTHERN Pay & Spray.

Links View Apartment: $6,000

From the Pay & Spray go South. As soon as you go past the first right turn, you
are at the Hideout, just drive up the ramp, and there! EASY!

Has 1 Garage.

Elswanko Casa: Cost: $8,000

From the Pay & Spray Head North, take the 3rd Right, and as soon as you have
turned right, look for a way into the garden, because this is the house.

Has 1 Garage.

3321 Vice Point: $2,500

From Pay & Spray, Head North, Make the 1st Right, then take the 2nd Left.
Follow this road all the way up, and around, until you get to a really steep
corner, im talking 90 degree angle. Then you will be almost heading into the
savehouse which is green.

West Island

The point where we are starting for these two is Ammu-Nation all the way North.

Hyman Condo: $14,000

From Ammu-Nation head West. Once you reach the end of the street turn Right.
Follow this road along, and just before the first LEFT turn, you will come to a
RIGHT Turn up an alley. Go up here and the hideout is in the middle.

Has 3 Double Garages.

Skumole Shack: $1,000

From Ammu-Nation head South. Take the first Left all the way to the bottom,
then turn Right. Follow it around to the right, but just as you get to the
corner you will see some steps. Go up here and you will find the shack on the
roof.

---Rare Cars

This section is for rare cars that you probably won't normally see driving around the streets too oftten.

Hunter
The Hunter is a helicopter and is otherwise known as the Ultimate Secret
Vehicle. You can get this easily without doing hidden packages by going to
Fort Baxter Air Base near Escobar International Airport in Little Havana
wearing a police uniform. Go in and they army won't shoot at you. It will
be parked somewhere in there only if you have all story missions done. If
you don't it will not spawn there. The controls are just like other
helicopters except you can do R3 missions called "Brown Thunder" and you can
shoot a minigun and missiles with it. To shoot missiles, press Circle. To
shoot the guns, press R1. If you have all 100 hidden packages, the Hunter
will spawn at a helipad next to a mansion in Ocean Beach. The mansion is on
the very south tip of the east island. It is kind of by where the Colonel
gave you missions.

Bulletproof Admiral
The Admiral in the "Guardian Angels" mission is bulletproof and more but I'm
not sure what else. Just steal the car and drive away but it will result in
you failing the mission or you could just finish the mission and get it after
mission complete.

Silver PCJ600
There is a real silver PCJ600 in the "Autocide" mission. To get it, start
the mission and go to the black dot on the radar. You should see it just waiting
for you to take it. I advise you to be driving it until the time runs out
on the mission so it will not disappear. Then after you fail it, just take
it back to your garage.

Bullet Proof And Fire Proof Sabre Turbo
Credits to Techno and thanks to Myke for letting me use this off of his FAQ.
In "The Driver" if you wait at the Malibu club until the race ends you will
see the Sabre crash into the wall with no driver in it. Push it into one of
your garages and you have a Bullet Proof AND Fire Proof Sabre Turbo. This
is a great car to use on most missions like Death Row and the likes of that.
This and the Bullet Proof Admiral are the key rare cars you need because they
help the most. Note: when you have pushed it to your garage get out of the
car and push it the rest of the way or else the door will close and the car
will disappear. An alternate way to get this is to turn around and go to the
north Pay N Spray to get rid of the cops. Then, wait by the bridge near the
pizza place. Take out a sniper rifle and when Hilary drives over the bridge,
snipe him in the head and this will cause him to fall out of the car while
leaving the door open. Then just take it to a garage and save. Thanks to
moosiej for the strategy to steal it and thanks to BMHero for informing me
that it is also fire proof.

Special Cuban Hermes
In the "Guardian Angels" mission, there is a Cuban Hermes in it that has tires
that cannot be hurt from spike strips and the likes of that. After the mission
has ended, just take the Cuban Hermes that appeared during the mission. Do
not save it because once you save it in a garage, it won't have the special
tires anymore. You could also take it during the mission if you don't mind
failing the mission. This car is not bullet proof. Thanks to Darth Todd.

Special Voodoo
In the "Guardian Angels" mission, there is a Voodoo in it that has tires that
cannot be hurt from spike strips and the likes of that. After the mission
has ended, just take the Voodoo that appeared during the mission. Do not save
it because once you save it in a garage, it won't have the special tires
anymore. You can also take it during the mission if you don't mind failing
the mission. Thanks to Darth Todd.

Black Pony
There is a black Pony on the mission "Loose Ends". To get it, start the mission
and go around and you should see it right when you enter Cherry Poppers. To
get it, kill all of the guys in the area then head down to the Boatyard. Steal
a Packer and bring it to Cherry Popper's and line it up to where you can jump
over the gate. Now, go get another Packer from the Boatyard and ramp it off
of the first Packer to get inside the gates. Now, just ramp the Pony off the
Packer and over the fence and the Pony is yours. Thanks to TheBlackAndGreenGuy
and Seth for the strategy.

Black Voodoo
When you do the mission "Two Bit Hit", look outside the funeral parlor and
there should be a black Voodoo. Just steal it before a Haitian gets in or
steal it back from him if her gets in. Do not take this to the Pay N Spray
or it will go back to the original color. Thanks to Shaggy Glucose for the
strategy.

Black Sanchez
Go to the Sanchez by the dirt bike trail in Downtown and the "Trial By Dirt"
mission will start. Keep doing the mission until some guys on a black Sanchez
approach. Knock one off and there you go. You now have a black Sanchez. If
you are having trouble finding the dirt bike track, go along the road to the
biker bar and make the turn on the curve. Now go all the way to the right
and drive in the grass. You should be going down alleys and stuff behind
buildings so keep following the side and all the turns and you will eventually
find the track. It is basically dirt and grass with lots of hills. I suggest
trying to shoot all the guys on the black Sanchez's because they will try
to kill you with machetes. After you kill them, take the Sanchez and there
you go.

Black Sentinel
There is a black Senitnel in the "Hit The Courier" mission. You need to shoot
the lady driving it in the head when she gets in the car. Then, she will fall
out and the door will be open leaving you the opportunity to steal it. Thanks
to AugyDoggy.

White Admiral
There is a white Admiral in the "An Old Friend" mission. It will be difficult
to keep this white Admiral since you don't have a safe house yet with a garage.
Try getting hold of a gun and holding up a few stores to get the money to
buy a safe house. Don't sweat it if you lose it though, because you'll get
another chance at a white Admiral later. Not only that, but the Admiral you
get later is bulletproof, flameproof, and damage proof! Anyways, if you want
to keep this car, I guess you are going to have to do the first mission over
and over or you could do things like Rampages, Unique Jumps, and etc. Thanks
to Minesweeper.

Love Fist Limo
To get it, steal it in the "Psycho Killer" mission. Thanks to GrandTechAuto.

Romero's Hearse
To get it, steal it during the "Two Bit Hit" mission. Thanks to GrandTechAuto.

Lightless Taxi
Yes the lightless Taxi from GTA3 is back again in Vice City. How this works
is, when several Taxis are on screen, sometimes the game doesn't load the
light on the top of it thus making it look like a Sentinel. These can be seen
sometimes when patrolling around the Kaufman Cabs area more than others. This
will be the hardest car to find since it is just a glitch.

Black Admiral
Some guys shooting at you in the "Check-Out At The Check-In" mission are
driving this car. It will be very hard to obtain. You will need Molotov
Cocktails or a Flamethrower for this. First, kill the guy that is shooting
out of the sunroof. Now the car will come to a halt. The doors are locked
so you can't pull them out so this is where the flamethrower and or Molotov
Cocktails come in. Throw the Molotovs or shoot the car with the Flamethrower
and they will get out. Now, just get in and don't get out until you get to
your garage because the doors will lock on you if you get out. If the doors
do happen to lock on you, there is no way you can get in and you must do it
over.

FBI Washington
The FBI Washington is parked in an alley by the pizza place in Downtown. Just
steal it to obtain it.

Sea Skimmer
Just beat all of the Movie Studio's missions and it will spawn behind the
Movie Studio on that little dock where you picked up the Sea Skimmer in earlier
missions.

Spand Express Van
This can be found in 2 different missions. The first is the "Jury Fury" mission.
It is the van that the one car drives into and the hammer falls out of. Just
steal it. The second is the "Riot" mission and it is parked inside the gates.
Just drive off with it if you wish but you will have to fail the mission.
Thanks to Taraka for the "Riot" mission strategy.

Deluxo
Just complete the first list of cars after you purchase Sunshine Autos and
it will be in the showroom.

Sabre Turbo
Just complete the second list of cars after you purchase Sunshine Autos and
it will be in the showroom.

Super Angel
The Super Angel is called the Angel when you get on but is better than the
regular Angel. On the "Alloy Wheels Of Steel" mission for the Big Mitch Baker,
hit one of the bikers bike right at the beginning and finish the race. The
super Angel is faster and has much better turning. You can just steal it during
the race if one of the other bikers crash. Thanks to FloDjay. You can also
find it when you do the mission for Big Mitch Baker where you get his bike
for him. Just take the bike and store it in any garage. It just goes faster
than the normal Angel and handles better. Thanks to JonoWilko.

Gold Stretch
There is a gold Stretch on the "Martha's Mug Shot" mission. Snipe the driver
and the driver will open the door and fall out (this car has locked doors).
Get in the limo, but don't drive off! Wait for Candy to get in. After she
gets in, the Stretch will drive off with you inside. You can't steer. It is
on Autopilot or something. Wait for the car to get to its destination. After
the cut-scene, get out quickly so the door stays open. Then get back in, and
drive to Sunshine Autos garage, or a similar large garage, and put it into
one of the garages. Complete the mission. After you save, load the game. The
car will have unlocked doors. Do not paint it or it will revert back to a
default color. Thanks to Dagon327.If you don't want to complete the mission
and want the car right away, just kill the driver and Candy Suxxx. Then, it
will be yours for the taking. Thanks to BMHero.

Fire Proof Banshee
In the mission race missions for Sunshine Autos, there is a Banshee that you
will have to race. To get this, wait at the last checkpoint with the cars
insight, and you will fail the mission. Now, just follow them and do a drive
by until the driver gets out, or drives in front of them and pull them out.
Now, you have a flamethrower and Molotov cocktail proof Banshee. Thanks to
Sk8erGT18 and Jnco904.

Fire Proof Cheetah
In the mission race missions for Sunshine Autos, there is a Cheetah that you
will have to race.

Fire Proof Infernus
In the mission race missions for Sunshine Autos, there is an Infernus that
you will have to race. To get this, wait at the last checkpoint with the cars
insight, and you will fail the mission. Now, just follow them and do a drive
by until the driver gets out, or drives in front of them and pull them out.
Now, you have a flamethrower and Molotov cocktail proof Banshee. Thanks to Sk8erGT18 and Jnco904.

Sandking
Just complete the third list of cars after you purchase Sunshine Autos and
it will be in the showroom.

Hotring Racer
Just complete all 4 lists of cars after you purchase Sunshine Autos and it
will be in the showroom.

White Walton
In the mission "Gun Runner", the Walton's you are trying to get the weapons
from are white. You just need to try to steal it.

Sparrow
Go to the roof of the building where you first started G Spotlight and there
will be a Sparrow parked there. I first saw it after I completed G Spotlight
so I'm not totally sure if it spawns before you do that mission. There is
also one on the roof of a house near the Pay N Spray in Ocean Beach. To get
to it, go to the Collars And Cuffs in Ocean Beach. Then, go down that alley
where Collars And Cuffs is and there will be a parking garage on your right.
Go to the top floor and there will be some ramps. Before jumping, look around
and find the Sparrow and then jump to it. I'm not sure if you can reach it
in one jump or not so you might half to jump more than 1 roof. The parking
garage is also located near the Pay N Spray. It is white and has around 5
stories. For the easiest way, just get to the Pay N Spray in Ocean Beach.
Now, go to that place right by it with the parked PCJ-600 and Banshee (or
sometimes Cheetah's or Infernus's). Now, get the PCJ-600 and back up all the
way from the white stairs. Back up until you have crossed the street and have
went in the alley with the gray pavement. Keep going back until you reach
the shrubs. Now, punch the gas and go fast and hit the stairs. You need to
clear the first building and land on the second one. It is pink. The Sparrow
will be up there. There is also one across from the Links View Apartment.
Across the street from it is a building with an arched entrance that you can
go in. Go inside the arch, there will be some backyards. There should be a
Sparrow in the first one on your right. Thanks to MatrixLUiGi23 for the
strategy on the last Sparrow.

Bloodring Banger
To get it, just survive a minute inside the Bloodring Arena and it'll spawn
right outside in the parking lot. Thanks to Oddrat.

Mr. Whoopee
To get it, just buy the Cherry Popper's Ice Cream Factory and it will spawn
in there.

Patriot
To get it, drive to Phil's Place in Little Havana. Now look around for a huge
garage looking thing towards the left. Walk in there and there you go. Steal
it and it is yours. You can also get it in the "Sir, Yes Sir" mission by
stealing it from the Army. An alternate place to get it is in the back of
the film studio lot, behind the street setup to the south. Thanks to LANCELOTT1 for the alternate location.

Zebra Taxi
Complete the Kaufman Cab mission string and it will spawn inside Kaufman Cabs.

Squallo And Speeder
To get these 2 boats easily, just complete "Check Point Charlie" after you
buy the Boat Yard and they will spawn in the same place where you got in the
boats to start the mission.

Securicar
The Securicar is very rare. To easily get one, snipe the driver of the
Securicar in the "Autocide" mission. He should fall out leaving the door open.
Just steal it to get it. Thanks to Rabid.

Black Washington
In the "All Hands On Deck" mission, 2 black Washington's will drive to the
dock. To get one, just go to the lower deck of the boat and shoot a guy driving
a boat. Then, jump on his boat and drive it to the dock. It might disappear.
Thanks to Rabid. Another way to get it is the following. First, kill everyone
on the boat except Cortez (this buys you more time). Then jump on the speeder
that sails by, killing the guy, and drive back to the dock. Then push the
black Washington all the way to the Ocean Heights hideout. If you blow it
up, it will disappear when you get close to the garage. So don't blow it up
and push it all the way into the garage. Shortly afterwards, the screen will
change and then you will appear back on the boat for the second part of the
mission. Now you can finish the mission and get the black Washington without
failing the mission. Thanks to Rustophilus.

Black Bobcat
There is a black Bobcat in the "Autocide" mission. To get it, you will have
to kill the driver of it and his buddy carrying the shotgun. Thanks to Rabid.

Sea Sparrow
To get the Sea Sparrow, just get 80 hidden packages and it will spawn in the
backyard of Diaz/Tommy's mansion.

Maverick
To get the Maverick this way, you have to have to Vercetti Estate. Just go
to the roof and it will spawn there. The Maverick will also appear on the
helipad of the Hyman Condo after you buy it.

Police Maverick
The Police Maverick spawns at the top of the police department at it's helipad.
All you have to do is steal it. Thanks to TheBlackAndGreenGuy.

VCN Maverick
To get it, just go on the roof of VCN's headquarters in Downtown in Little
Havana and steal it. Thanks to TheBlackAndGreenGuy.

Rhino
Just get 90 hidden packages and it will spawn at Fort Baxter Air Base. Make
sure you wear the cop uniform when entering. An alternate way to do this is
get 6 stars and steal it from the Army. An easy strategy is to first go to
the Vercetti Estate. Then, put in the Higher Wanted Level cheat until you
have 5 stars. Then, keep fighting cops until the 6th star appears. Then, just
steal the tank and enter the Lower Wanted Level cheat. Now, go put it in your
garage at the Vercetti Estate. Now, you can use the Rhino and easily beat
the Vigilante missions. Thanks to Journeyman for the strategy.

»Get a time of '0.00' doing the Dirt Ring time trial in the Stadium without using any pesky Gameshark Codes.
First, get a dirt bike (Sanchez) and ride it to the Stadium when the logo for the Dirt Ring appears. Get off the bike, walk in and when the mission starts up, just get on the bike before it loads to the indoor stadium. You will now start off inside the stadium with two bikes. Get on the one that is not highlighted, collect all of the pink checkpoints, when done, get on the bike that is originally for the trial, when you get on it it will start counting. Since everything is already collected, it will stop at the time of '0.00'.

»Run (not drive) inside of the Destruction Derby ring inside the stadium.
Get a bike (Moped is best) and drive up to the stadium. Walk in, than get on the bike (Same as previous glitch) but you will spawn in a car still. So, smash your car really hard, so you 'bail' off of the car, like you would on a bike vehicle. Though, you will run out of time pretty fast, but everyone knows it's fun for AI cars to try and run you over. Be careful when you exit the stadium, you just might find yourself drowning in an invisible pool of water.

»Get in cars that you're not supposed to.
First, get a sniper rifle, enter the stock car race session in the stadium and simple pick off the drivers heads as they go around the track. Get in their cars for some weird effects, some that included the car moving in random directions, going through the track forwards, or backwards, catching on fire even if its just sitting there and not letting you out of the car sometimes when you are still in it.

   »Walking headless people.
This is a really simple glitch. Shoot the drivers head in a car, and immediatly get in the passangers side, and when the headless person stands up, nudge them with the car. The should get back up and take a few steps, than fall down again.

   »Shoot Yourself.
Get a weapon you hold with one hand, and can run with it. Say a colt .45 or Mp5K. Shoot straight ahead of you, than before the bullet goes out, turn 180 degrees LEFT. If done correctly, Tommy will shoot himself. Blood will come out, he will say 'Arghh!' as if normally shot. But he doesent lose health...

---Secrets

There are some strange things around Vice City...

--Now This Is What I Call An Easter Egg
Rockstar has put a real Easter Egg in the game. It is a chocolate egg and
says Happy Easter on it. To get to it, go the helipad at the VCN (Vice City
News) building. The building on the right has a hallow wall so you can go
through it. You have to jump in the closest window on the corner to get inside
the hallow point.

--Kaufman Cabs
The inside of Kaufman Cabs is setup almost identically to the setup of the
taxi place in the show "Taxi" that used to come on many years ago. Andy Kaufman
was on "Taxi" and the name of the taxi company in Vice City just happens to
be Kaufman Cabs. Also, when you pull out of Kaufman Cabs with a Cabbie, a
voice will say, "What are you doing?" much like Latka, Andy Kaufman's
character, in Taxi. Coincidence? I think not.

--Pogo The Monkey And Degenatron Arcades
In the pizza joints and inside Kaufman Cabs, you can find these arcades but
they are not playable.

--Pole Position
The Pole Position Club has two possible meanings. Back in the day, Atari had
a game called Pole Position, which was Indy cars racing and stuff. The strip
club has a racecar theme to the front of it. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.
The other obvious correlation is that between strip bars and poles. Thanks
to RIT Tyger.

--Guy In Freezer
In the opening sequence where Sonny Forelli is talking to all of his men,
eventually a freezer will be shown in one of the scenes. If you look inside
it, there is a man being hung by big slabs of meat in the freezer. I guess
he got on their bad side.

--I'm Just Glad I Didn't Find This For Myself
Well Rockstar forgot to put one thing in this game. That thing being panties
on this old black lady. This lady is in a gray dress and sweater and has a
yellow bandana thing on her head. If you shoot her with a Sniper Rifle and
crouch down and look up her skirt, you can clearly see there are no panties.
Thanks to sUshiBOi.

--Internet Sites
These are basically internet sites that Rockstar put up that have to do with
something in the game. I'm sure you all remember the Pogo The Monkey and other
websites from GTA3. Well here are some from Vice City.
http://www.Degenatron.com = You can play 3 different Degenatron games here.

--Tony "Scarface" Montana's Mansion
Diaz's Tommy's mansion is almost identical to the mansion in Scarface. The
resemblances are the setups of the staircase, the office at the top of the
stairs, and the room where they have the tiger skin rug.

--Scarface's Chainsaw Scene Re-enactment
First, go to the Pay N Spray in Ocean Beach. It is a 2-story stucco building
with stairs on 4 sides. Check the rooms on the second floor. You can't see
the room from the street, just check all the doors, and you will see a 2-roomed
apartment. When you enter, it should say Apartment 3C. Go inside and look
in the bathroom for the scene.

--Pool Shaped Like The Rockstar Games Logo
There is a pool shaped like the Rockstar logo. It is an R with a star * at
the end. It is located in Starfish Island. To best view this, get a helicopter
and just circle Starfish Island and you will eventually see it.

--Australian American War
On the Vrock radio station, you will hear an Ammunation commercial that talks
about the Australian-American War. If you remember correctly from Grand Theft
Auto 3, there was a caller on Chatterbox that talks about fighting in the
Australian-American War.

--Poster Of "The Guy" In GTA3
If you go up to your room in the Ocean Beach hotel, which was your first save
point, there will be a poster of him on the wall. Cool easter egg.

--Bal Harbor Mall
In real life, the Bal Harbor Mall is a mall in Miami, Florida. Wondering why
I mentioned this? Well, the Washington Mall is an exact replica of it. The
Bal Harbor Mall is just like it in real life and it has lots of up scale stores
like Gucci and etc. Thanks to RMRose.

--Submarine
To see the submarine, go get your GTA Vice City map that came with your game.
You need to drive to grid 5A and you should see it. Thanks to ROA and
Killazilla3.

--3 Sunken Ships
Somewhere between grid A5 & A6 near the very top of the map, there is a sunken
ship. It looks like the ship that you blew up in the "Bomb The Base" mission
in GTA3. It says Libertine Lines or something along the lines of that on the
side of it. There is another sunken ship by that bridge by the Vice City News
building. Look under the bridge and there is a brown sunken boat. There is
yet another one on the south side of the map. Just go east from the Boatyard
and it is somewhere between the 2 islands. Thanks to Killazilla3, ROA, and
Skull6987.

--Barrels Of Boom Shine
After finishing all of Phil Cassidy's missions, there will be a barrel of
boom shine in your room at the Ocean View Hotel.

--Miami Vice
If you get 3-stars on your wanted level, undercover cops will chase you in
Cheetah's. One is black and one is white and it looks like the main characters
from Miami Vice.

--Bag Of Money
After finishing "The Job", a duffle bag full of money will be on your bed
at the Ocean View Hotel. If you look at it closely, it will be a lot of American
bills like 20's, 10', 50's, 100's, 1's, and even 2-dollar bills. Thanks to
Killazilla3.

--GTA3 Character Cameos
Donald Love appears in one of the Avery Carrington missions in the limo with
Avery. Sonny Forelli is the guy you are trying to get the money back to in
the story. If you remember correctly in GTA3, he was one of the Forelli
Brothers that Joey Leone wanted dealt with. Lazlow, from Chatterbox in GTA3,
is now the host of Vrock in GTA Vice City. Fernando, who was a panelist on
Chatterbox, is now hosting Emotion 98.3. Phil Cassidy is also in the game
and you get missions from him and you learn how he loses his arm. Toni from
Flashback FM in GTA3 is now hosting Flash in GTA Vice City. Morgan from the
classics station in GTA3 also calls into K-Chat.

--Toys
After doing the "Demolition Man" mission, a box of RC helicopters, planes,
and cars will appear in a box in one of the lower rooms of the Vercetti Estate.

--Brown Thunder
The vigilante mission for the Hunter is called "Brown Thunder". Now for anyone
that was alive in the 80's, I'm sure you remember a show called Blue Thunder.

--Did I Just Turn On My Commodore 64
The first loading screen after the Rockstar logo pops up looks like a starting
screen from an old Commodore 64 game.

--So That's How Lazlow Ended Up On Chatterbox
If you have the Vrock cd that came with the Soundtrack Box Set, listen to
the whole thing and the final track shows how Lazlow got kicked off Vrock.

--Freddy Needs A Nanny
If you remember correctly from GTA3, a man named Freddy was calling looking
for a nanny on Chatterbox. Well in Vice City, he calls Kchat and wants a witch
to spank him with a broom or something. Creepy. Thanks to DarthTodd.

--Wow This Looks Like The Red Light District From GTA3
If you go inside the movie studio, go straight and towards the left and you
will see some structures. Go inside and it is a replica from the Red Light
District in Liberty City.

--Hey, I Remember Those Friendly Faces From GTA3
In Ocean Beach, there is a row of shops and one of them that is named Rockstar
Games has cardboard cutouts of Asuka, 8-Ball, El Burro, Kenji, and more people
from GTA3.

--Constellation Rockstar
At night, there is a constellation of stars that makes up the Rockstar games
symbol. It is the R with the star * at the end.

--Someone Give Him A Hand
First, go to the butcher shop in Little Havana. If you look in the window,
you can see a severed arm. Ouch.

--Trophies
If you complete any of the races at the Hyman Memorial Stadium, you will get
a trophy according to what race you completed. They appear on top of your
television at the Vercetti Estate. There is also a trophy for doing the
shooting range missions at the Downtown Ammunation.

--Wow, What A Reward
After you complete all of the movie studio missions, a huge poster will appear
at the Vercetti Estate of a nude Candy Suxxx and various pictures of her and
the guy from "Martha's Mug Shot" will appear on your desk.

--Graffiti
After you have the Vercetti Estate, go into your office and look on the walls
outside of the save room. There should be a big picture of Diaz with drawings
all over it and a knife slash through it. Thanks to Jono Wilko.

--I Guess The Mafia Didn't Like Him Too Much
In the opening sequence of the game, there is a cut scene of Sonny Forelli
on a phone. If you look in the background, you can see a guy hanging in a
meat locker.

--That Thing Is Huge
At the hotel across the street from the Malibu, there are some interesting
light formations at night. If you look at them, they form the shape of male
genitals.

--No Those Are Huge
After you do the "G Spotlight" mission, the spotlight of Candy Suxxx will
always appear on the same building at night.

--Now This Is What I Call A Hidden Package
I'm not sure when this appears, but in your Ocean View Hotel, there is a opened
package of what appears to be cocaine by the bar counter and it is spilled
everywhere. Thanks to ScrubKing.

--Candy Suxxx Stuff
After you have completed the "Dildo Dodo" mission for the film studio, there
will now be flyers of her movie on the ground. There will be a big poster
of her on your wall in your office in the Vercetti Estate that picture Candy
Suxxx after you finish all of the film studio missions and there will also
be the pictures from "Martha's Mug Shot" on the table in your office. After
the "G Spotlight" mission, the spotlight will always come on at night and
shows something interesting. Thanks to Jono Wilko.

--Beach Ball Game
If you go to one of the mansions in Starfish Island, one of them will have
a beach ball by it. If you kick it by walking into it, it will go into the
air and you can play a mini-game where you see how many times you can bounce
it on your head without it falling.

--Rockstar Logos
On the beach, you will notice some towels laid on the ground. If you look
closely, there are Rockstar logos on them. There are also Rockstar logos on
the guy's shirts in Ammunations. Thanks to Delta9ine.

--Some Of The Phone Numbers In The Game Work
Please note that I do not know if any of these cost money so call at your
own risk. There are many phone numbers on the radio and some of them work.
The phone numbers that are proven to work are the following.

1-866-9-Save-Me: Pastor Richards
1-866-9-Bury-Me: Funeral Home
1-866-Pillage: Thor
1-866-434-SELF: Not Sure

--Wow, These Guys Are Real Pigs
After you have acquired the Vercetti Mansion, watch the trash by the door.
Over time, it will just keep stacking up with beer bottles and pizza boxes.

--Jimmy Hoffa
For those of you who don't know who Jimmy Hoffa is, here is a little insight.
Hoffa was the powerful and controversial leader of the Teamsters Union from
1957 to 1971. Often alleged to have ties to organized crime, Hoffa was finally
convicted of fraud and jury tampering in 1964 and served four years in prison
before President Nixon commuted his sentence. In 1975, while trying to regain
power in the union, Hoffa disappeared from a restaurant parking lot in
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He was widely assumed to have been killed by the
Mafia. His body was never found, and in 1983 he was declared legally dead.
In September of 2001, news reports claimed that DNA tests by the FBI had tied
Hoffa to a car driven by his associate Charles O'Brien the day Hoffa
disappeared suggesting that charges might still be brought in the case. Now,
on to the easter egg. Many believed Hoffa to be thrown in a cement mixer and
mixed in with an architectural structure. Well, to see Jimmy Hoffa mixed
inside a bridge, go get the Sea Skimmer from its fixed location if you have
the film studio missions done otherwise you can't do this. Once you get it,
go north to the bridge. Now, try to fly under it. Since the Sea Skimmer is
too big, you will go through the bridge a bit. Now, there will be a body inside
the bridge. That's a cool easter egg along with the guy in the cement shoes.

--Guy With Cement Shoes In The Middle Of The Ocean
Get a boat and from the Leaf Links Golf Course, head towards the second island.
Now you should see a couple of big rocks under the water. You should see a
guy with cement shoes just in the bottom of the ocean. If you still can't
find him, get a boat and then head to Diaz's mansion. Now facing the mansion
(you should be facing North according to the radar), turn right and keep going
straight and you should see him. Thanks to mgs master for first strategy and
Kintaro Oe age 25 for the second.

--Luigi And Misty From GTA3
To see Luigi and Misty, do the mission for the Malibu Club called "The
Shootist" and they will be on the second part of the shooting range where
you have to shoot the cardboard cutouts. It's pretty cool to get to shoot
Luigi and Misty, although it's just a cardboard cutout.

--The Village People
If you go inside the Malibu Club, look on the stage and you will see the Village
People! I think the only one that is missing is the Indian.

--I Guess These Guys Have A Soft Side To Them
If you look on the grill of a Gang Burrito, sometimes there is a teddy bear.
Thanks to Victor.

--Pool Shaped Like A Woman
In Starfish Island, there is a pool that looks like a woman's body. You can
easily see it if you fly around in the helicopter.

San Andreas

Los Santos is Carl's home town, and also plays host to at least two major gangs - The Orange Grove Families and the Ballas. Based on Los Angeles, California, it stays true to the area with features like smoggy air, gang warfare and wealthy hotspots.

The Grove
Home to the Orange Grove Families, The Grove is where Carl was raised and where his relatives still reside. Many residents live in abject poverty, and buy all their clothing at a store named Binco. It's poor quality, with low end sneakers and plaid shirts the flavour around "The Grove". Expect to spend your first couple of hours of playing time here, attempting to regroup the Orange Grove Families and take control.
Downtown
Downtown Los Santos is a stark contrast to The Grove, and is a magnet for commercialism. The cityscape is breathtaking, but luckily there are plenty of landmarks to help you around the vast area. Firstly, there's the Doc G Records building, which bears a striking similarity to the Capital Records building of Los Angeles. Secondly, there's the Los Santos Convention Center, which again looks like the building of the same name from LA. City hall is here, but may play the same role as it did in Vice City -- none. Another major part of the area is banking, so expect to see plenty of professional looking people walking around. A visit to ProLaps will provide CJ with some expensive clothing to take his appearance away from the gang style, but will only look good if he's in top physical form. Of course, you'll gain respect by wearing such high quality threads, so it's worth the investment.
East Los Santos
Stuck between Ballas, Vagos, and Grove Street turf, this neighborhood has been contested ground for years. Because this neighborhood contains community basketball courts, a skate park and the towers there is always some gang activity. Control seems to be impossible but desired by all. East Los Santos is also home to the Pig Pen Strip Club, a place that Carl might want to spend some spare time at.
Vinewood
Vinewood is Rockstar's answer to Hollywood, Los Angeles. High in the hills is the famous Vinewood sign, sitting snugly among extravegant mansions, home to San Andreas' noble residents. Lower down is the Vinewood Strip, where you'll be able to visit plenty of tourist attractions, including the Cathay Theater, part of a Chinese-styled area, and the Vinewood Walk of Fame.
Idlewood
The main point of interest in Idlewood is Reece's Barber Shop, where you can completely overhaul Carl's appearance with a new haircut, and while you're at it, enjoy the latest gossip from the old man himself. Head next door and you'll be able to get a snazzy new tattoo, perfect for increasing your street rep. You might want to pay your good (but deluded) friend Melvin "Smoke" Harris a visit, with his home being closeby. However, it's not all pretty looks and exciting conversation. This is fiercely contested turf, with the Front Yard Ballas having the upper hand at the beginning of the game. You wouldn't want to go here unarmed, unless you're good at stopping bullets with your clenched fists.
Ganton
Ganton is a central location which includes "Grove Street" (see above). It's always changing hands between the main gangs, and is a Watts inspired area. Keep a look out for the famous Ganton Towers, and while you're there, drop by SubUrban, an expensive clothing retailer who sell top brands like Base 5 and Mercury.
Market
Market is an interesting area of Los Santos, not least because it includes the huge offices of Blastin' Fools Records, the "number one gangster rap label in the world". Nearby, you'll find the Verona Mall, where all manner of goods can be bought over the counter. Think about it as a "roof over the street". The final stop on your Market tour should be the Market Station, a bustling, working railway station with trains just waiting to be boarded. You'll be able to get anywhere, thanks to the elaborate network of rails that criss-cross the state, like to San Fierro's Cranberry Station, and beyond!
Mulholland
The hills above Los Santos are home to the rich and famous. This virtually uninsurable area is the perfect location for a robbery, just jump in a removal van, hit R3 and collect your loot. Have a gander around Madd Dogg's mansion, where there's sure to be plenty of musical memorabilia. The famous Vinewood Hills Mansion which featured in the first trailer for San Andreas is also here, and it definitely puts those giant windows to great use. Alternatively, take a break from eyeing other people's possessions and drop by the Burger Shot, where you can try a 100% Organic burger.
Rodeo
Rockstar's way of expressing Beverly Hills comes in the form of Rodeo, with the name based on Rodeo Drive, a shopping area in LA for the rich and famous. Speaking of shopping, there's lots to be done here, but only for those with well-lined pockets. For others, it'll just prove to be another welcome tourist spot. Plenty of extremely large and stately homes to perform robberies on.
The Beach
Based on Santa Monica, The Beach features a huge pier, known as the Santa Maria Boardwalk -- perfect for diving from. An amusement park is shown in one screenshot, complete with Big Wheel and Roller Coaster. Also in this area you'll find the Los Santos gym, which is perfect for fine-tuning your street fighting skills. Rockstar claim that the sand on the beach will slow anyone's footsteps, (or car tires) so escaping from the long arm of the law won't be an easy task down by the seaside. By night, it turns into a huge party area, which often attracts the attention of the local police. Loud music, pretty women and a coastline to die for make this the location you've been waiting for!
The Freeway

No city environment would be complete without spaghetti junction, where all roads merge into one. Luckily, there will be signs on hand to aid navigation, and the freeway won't be nearly as busy as it is in the real Los Angeles. The Freeway is the high speed artery through Los Santos, and joins the city to the rest of the state.

San Fierro is San Andreas' version of San Francisco, California. Expect crisp lighting, with extremely good looking 3D models on show. Glide around the metal clad roads in one of the famous Trolley Carts or get your car upgraded at the local garage, The Fast and the Furious style!

Garcia
Garcia, on the border of Hashbury, is the turf of the San Fierro Rifa, a gang who don't like Los Santos' Mexican uprising. This semi-industrial sector of San Fierro is believed to have become a majore hub in the internation drugs trade. A hostile territory, which includes the tough Cobra Martial Arts Dojo (more below) and ZERO's RC shop, where you can buy 1/10th scale replicas of many vehicles.
Hashbury
Hashbury is the most peaceful area in San Fierro, with a large proportion of its population being hippies. In the middle of a "Joint Festival" with neighbouring Garcia, expect to see plenty of VW Bus replicas rolling around, and walls emblazoned with multicoloured designs, like pretty rainbows. British fans will notice the prescence of a store named Hippy Shopper, a play on words of UK small store distributor Happy Shopper.
Doherty
Doherty is an old industrial neighborhood under heavy redevelopment as yuppies and businessmen move in as fast as they can. Home of the Cranberry Station, Doherty may be an important place when you feel the need to skip town, with rail links to the rest of the state thanks to the many bridges that surround the city. Also in Doherty are Pay 'n Spray, where you can get a new paint job for your car to get the police off of your trail, TransFender Body Swap Shop, where you can transform some of the game's vehicles Need for Speed style, and the dirty-sounding Wang Car Showroom. However, it isn't just a play on words, it also hosts the mission "Test Drive". There's also a very suspicious looking abandoned garage in the centre of Doherty, where you'll often spot prostitutes and drug dealers.
Juniper Hollow
Juniper Hollow is San Fierro's residential district, famous for its steep streets and distinctive residential areas. For the passive consumer, Juniper Hollow contains one of San Andreas' famous Binco discount clothing stores, a Xoomer gas station and a Burger Shot. To the North of the area is the spectacular Gant Bridge and visitor center (see below), beneath which sits Jizzy's Pleasure Dome - an "arena for gentlemen's entertainment". Although, we're not sure it's as straightforward as that. Finally, moored off the coast of the area is a suspicious looking tanker, which plays host to the mission titled The Da Nang Thang.
Downtown
Downtown San Fierro is mainly an upscale business area surrounding the financial district. In the center, you'll find a cluster of skyscrapers, including the Big Pointy Building, an impressive building that becomes narrower as you ascend. Also in Downtown, you can participate in a number of submissions as a Valet Parking Officer, assigned the task of moving people's expensive cars they leave in the street to the underground parking lot. Points will be awarded for delivering them speedily and with as little damage as possible. Similarly, you'll have to take care when driving down San Fierro's Windy Windy Street, a take on the twisty Lombard Street of San Francisco. Finally, stop by the San Fierro Cathedral, in the far North of Downtown.
Easter Basin
Easter Basin is home to San Fierro's docklands area, complete with a Dry Dock and mooring areas for plenty of ships. Seen as an easy route into the State for smugglers, Easter Basin is overrun by criminals, gangsters and of course, corruption. One of the main points of interest is the Import/Export ship, where you can leave vehicles for a healthy cash sum. Different to GTA3, though, you'll have to maneuver the vehicle onto the ship with the crane yourself. We're also looking out for a minigame involving placing containers on the ship's deck aswell. Another interesting part of Easter Basin is the Aircraft Carrier, which aside from being home to Government employed sailors, appears to be one of the Hunter's bases. Gang activity in the area comes from the Vietnamese Da Nang Boys, who are "at war" with the local Triads. Finally, there's a branch of the Xoomer Gas Station in the center of Easter Basin, where Vice City worker Jethro is now employed.
Gant Bridge
Connecting central San Fierro to the Northern part of the State, the Gant Bridge is San Andreas' version of San Francisco's Golden Gate. With a massive span and huge pillars supporting the deck, you can expect to see plenty of traffic - cars crossing it and boats passing beneath it. Also remember to pay a visit to the Visitor Center, because you 'aint been anywhere till you've got the T-Shirt!
Garver Bridge
The Gant Bridge's baby brother, smaller in every way. Still fun though, since we've not seen bridges on this scale since GTA3. Based on the Bay Bridge of San Francisco, it stays true to real life. It's featured on the game's box art in a prominent location below the game's logo.
Kincaid Bridge
The Kincaid Bridge is an interesting new concept for the GTA games. With San Andreas featuring the Brown Streak Railway, they need a way to get their trains from San Fierro to Las Venturas. The solution? A giant steel construction, modelled on an historic landmark in Rockstar's home country of Scotland. It runs parallel to the Garver Bridge.
Transfender
Get your car modded to the max at Transfender. Here you'll be able to purchase upgrades for your Exhaust, Bumpers, Roof, Wings and Wheels. While you're at it, get a respray into any color of your choice. Careful though, such luxuries don't come cheap, with a bog-standard front bumper retailing for $970. Save the pennies before you come here, then.
Cobra Martial Arts
San Fierro's gym is better described as a Dojo, and allows Carl to get to grips with many martial arts techniques, like the Drop Heel Kick, a fancy move used to "finish" your opponents. The walls in here are traditional Japanese Pagoda style. Red being the colour of choice, of course.
Other Points of Interest

San Fierro is an interesting city, with a lot of things to see and do. Aside from the main tourist attractions and districts we've detailed above, there are also a few more minor places to visit. Firstly, there's the Corvin Stadium, the official home of the San Fierro Sixty Niners (a knock-off of the San Francisco Forty Niners). In Vice City, B.J. Smith menitioned that he played football in San Andreas. Could this be his team? Secondly, there's the San Fierro Medical Center, which we're sure will have a more sinister approach to healthcare than normal institutions.

Las Venturas was finally revealed in Electronic Gaming Monthly's November 2004 issue. Among the screenshots were snippets of information on the vibrant San Andreas equivalent of beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada. It's a different sort of city, read on for more:

The Casinos
Las Venturas wouldn't be Las Venturas without many, many casinos where you'll be able to gamble your money. Games such as Blackjack, Video Poker, Craps, Roulette and Wheel of Fortune all make an appearance. However, you can't just jump on the nearest table and gamble your life savings, you'll have to gain enough respect and skill points (in the same way as you'll develop your character in other traits, like swimming or cycling) to be able to play with the high rollers. Rumour has it that you'll be able to build your own casino, although this is unconfirmed and seems unlikely. What is confirmed, though are the names of many of the casinos. Pirates in Men's Pants, The Visage, V-Rock, Caligula's Palace, The Pink Swan, The Four Dragons will all be included. They'll be concentrated around the Las Venturas strip, which you can read more about below.
The Strip
Las Vegas is one of the United States of America's premier tourist locations, and the main attractions all run along a road named 'The Strip'. Luckily, this will be included in Las Venturas, San Andreas, with plenty of casinos, bars, restaurants and hotels lining both sides of the road. Tributes to Vice City cowboy Avery Carrington and adult movie star Candy Suxx are also included, in the form of giant neon signs that adorn the outside of the glowing buildings.
The Gimmicks
If you've played all of the titles in the series, you'll be accustomed to the subtle humour Rockstar like to include in every single element of the game. From the "You're brown bread!" messages in GTA: London to Rusty Brown's Ring Donuts of Vice City, you know that Rockstar are one of very few games companies that know how to make people laugh. Unsurprisingly then, San Andreas will be full of things that'll bring a smile to your face, including the two funny guys seen left. They're Elvis impersonators, and like to loiter on the inside of Las Venturas' many casinos with a few drinks in their gut. But a drunken man is often a disorderly man, so they'll be picking fights every time they get the chance. Not that different then, is the pirate ship show which will be staged in true homage to Las Vegas' Treasure Island Hotel. You've heard the references to pirates in the previous games, so only time will tell what the developer can cook up with a visual gang of rowdy pirates.
Bayside Marina
Although there are no bodies of water surrounding the state of Nevada, the Bayside Marina was added into Las Venturas, San Andreas. However, this location seems closer to San Fierro than the Las Venturas strip, which makes more sense. At the Marina, people can learn how to boat. Although it seems impractical to do learn how to take boat driving lessons, it could play a key role in the game. It is known that visiting gyms and training centers can improve your fighting skills and teach you new moves. Could the same be true for boating?
Bone County
Bone County (naughty Rockstar North!) is home to the World's Largest Cock (even naughtier!), the Big Ear, and the Hunter Quarry. The Big Ear is a massive satellite, probably used for tracking down any trace of life in outer space. This satellite, and the "No Fly Zone" could possibly represent Area 51, an area in Nevada that is restricted for military purposes only. Area 51 is notorious for mysterious incidents including those involving aliens.
Las Venturas Airport

Every tourism city needs a busy airport and Las Venturas is no exception. With over 100 countries flying directly to LVA, it's no wonder this airport is one of the most popular ones in San Andreas. Although multiple airlines have not been confirmed, Juank Air will definitely be on the commercial airline list. These airplanes will be great for traveling throughout the huge state of San Andreas but be prepared to lay down $500 just for a ride to San Fierro!

New for San Andreas are vast, open areas of countryside to explore while you're not soaking up the ghetto life. Take in mountains, pastures, forests and even 'wildlife' as you cross the biggest map ever included in a Grand Theft Auto game. It's all very different to Los Santos, San Fierro or Las Venturas, with four times the draw distance seen in Vice City applied in the rural areas. With a great new 'streaming' system, more memory is available for textures and models, with all geometry coming straight off the disc. Twelve small towns are dotted around the map, with various log cabin style hideouts for saving games. Only a limited amount of information is known, but you better read on anyway:

Dillamore
Dillamore is a small town not far from Los Santos. It's one of the only small towns with a police station, and you can expect to spend one of your missions here trying to raid the local 'Gasso' gas station. Unfortunately, your plan backfires and you're left to make off with the petrol tanker, police in tow.
Angel Pine
Angel Pine is a sleepy town which relies heavily on tourism. Set at the bottom of Mount Chiliad, it's not short of fantastic scenery. Look out for the trailer park on the edge of the town, and closer to the center you can expect to see a bakery, single screen cinema, and the all-important liquor store. Looking for an overnight stay? Try the U-Get-In motel.
Palamino
Locked between San Andreas Sound and Fisher's Lagoon, Palomino looks out towards the bright lights of Las Venturas. Local beauty spot, Hanky Panky point, is notorious as a local make-out location. Popular with young couples and dirty old men.
Blueberry
Blueberry is small farming town at the center of the state of San Andreas which is home to the Fleischberg Brewery. West of Blueberry is a large hill known as The Panopticon, which looks over Bone and Flint Counties. Also in view is San Fierro's own Easter Basin Airport.
Mount Chiliad
Described as "the largest object ever seen in a GTA game", Mount Chiliad really is colossal. Standing half a mile tall, it'll take well over one minute to ascend to the summit in a helicopter. Dirt tracks and streams criss-cross its face, with cliff edges ensuring it is a perilous journey in either direction for those who take the risk of driving up. Don't think you'll make it up in a sports car, you'll need something adapted for that style of driving, like the Monster Truck, Sanchez or Quad Bike. Once you finally make it, the view from allows you too see for "miles around", thanks to new Renderware technologies that improve the draw distance.
Farms
You can't go to the countryside and not expect to see the traditional American farm. San Andreas stays true to the area with windvanes, grain towers, barns and haystacks. The addition of 'wildlife' may also prove interesting at one of San Andreas' many farms, dotted around the countryside.
Safehouses
With such a huge area to traverse, people will be looking for somewhere to set down for the night (And drop their data to memory card). Luckily, there's plenty of Log Cabins available for such a purpose, but how CJ turns them into save areas remains a mystery. Dropping by one of them, you'll meet a "Raven haired hottie with a knack for robbery" who's appeared in a previous GTA title, and she's looking to use that knack at the Dillamore Gas Station.
The people of rural San Andreas

San Andreas' huge area means there's bound to be plenty of diverse cultures and intrests, even among the leading characters. Nowhere else is this more clear than the countryside areas, where you'll encounter the stereotypical grass chewin', tweed shirt wearin' rural folk. As a gangland urban type, Carl shouldn't expect a warm welcome when he finally leaves the city and drops into one of the twelve small towns promised, even the police in the country will be more weary of Carl if he's attired in his latest outfit from Binco.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Features

Everybody needs to eat to survive and Carl Johnson is no exception. It will be necessary for Carl to keep a steady diet to complete his daily tasks and gain respect from others. When Carl is hungry, a message will appear in the new HUD, alerting the player that it is time to eat. Deciding not to eat will result in conseuquences including lack of energy (not being able to lift boxes, throw punches, etc.), intense skininess, and even "ill-fitting of his clothes." To help you with your eating needs, restaurants have been placed throughout San Andreas, all with different menus.

<>
Burger Shot

With one location in Downtown Los Santos, Burger Shot will feature a variety of hamburgers. Obviously serving fattening foods, Burger Shot will not be a good restaurant for daily stops. The Burger shot menu includes the Double Barreled Burger, one of the many sinful yet satisfying meals for Carl's cravings.

Cluckin' Bell

A play on words and a Taco Bell knockoff, Cluckin' Bell is the home to all things chicken and lovely employee uniforms. The Cluckin' Bell menu includes the Cluckin' Big Filet Burger and the Cluckin' Huge Double Filet. If you're on the go, you can even pick up a bucket of chicken wings or a "fowl wrap" burrito.

Well Stacked Pizza

It is amazing how a pizza company can survive all these years! Yet another play with words, the Well Stacked Pizza Company from Vice City to San Andreas and they mean business. Their menu includes a great variety of pizzas including The Buster, The D-luxe, and The Double D-luxe. Love the being outside? They even have outdoor seating.

Outdoor Vendors

Although the company name is not confirmed, outdoor vendors around town will definitely be great places for quick snacks. However, it won't be a good idea to eat the junk food served here everyday - even if you really want to see the sexy cashiers!

Money will be an essential factor in San Andreas. Seeing as Carl needs to eat and move about San Andreas easily, money will definitely come in handy. However, you're not always going to have a surplus of cash, and that's where robberies come in.

Robbing Houses

So, you're thinking "How hard can a robbery be?" Hard. Not only will you have to sneak into a house without having the resident see/hear you, there cannot be any eyewitnesses for fear of a call to 911. It's probably not a good idea to rob a house in your daily clothes. A dark jacket and mask are suitable articles of clothing which can be bought before the robbery at a sporting goods store. Robberies can only take place at night, so your victim may even be asleep. If so, try not to wake him up because homes are equip with telephones just waiting for 911 to be dialed. A new sneaking mode will aid you in doing so. If you complete your task without creating much noise, you will be rewarded. An onscreen meter will indicate whether or not too much noise has been made.

The ability to swim is one of the most anticipated features in San Andreas. This will take the GTA player to a place he has never gone before - the water!

Fun in the sun

You can swim, dive, find oxygen bottles, and more, however, the game is not about swimming, and drowning is still possible. If players take a car into the water, the stamina meter will again come into play, and will offer a limited time to escape the vehicle, through a window or otherwise. Swimming will not be hard at all. All you really have to do is get in the water and you'll automatically be treading. Three methods of swimming have been confirmed - the breaststroke, freestyle swimming, and swimming under the surface. Freestyle swimming will drain ou tyour stamina meter the quickest, but that might be just what you need to get away from the police. However, if you choose to dive down under the surface, your breath meter will kick in, so you'll have to come back up for air (or get an oxygen tank) once in a while. So, what's so cool about swimming around in water? "Aquatic life" of course! Sorry, but you're not the only special one in San Andreas - other people have the ability to swim also. Get ready for fun in the sun with some pesky tourists. Getting out of water is just as easy as it was to get in it. Once you get near the shore, you'll get out of the water automatically. Swimming isn't always fun and games though. The new, interactive weather system can cause heavy rains or even waves.

Clothes are obviously a large part of everybody's lives. In San Andreas, your clothes will reflect your personality and even your gang. If you wear strange clothes, you will be mocked by pedestrians and even fellow gang members. You wouldn't want that to happen now, would you? Three main clothing stores, all with different styles, have been confirmed so far.

Binco

Just a short distance away from The Grove is Binco, a bargain clothing store. Seeing as Carl does not live in the best of neighborhoods, most of the people in his area shop here. Plaid shirts, khakis, and cheap sneakers (Converse All-Star knockoffs) are basically what you'll find out Binco. However, shopping there isn't such a bad idea because you will earn more respect from the neighborhood while wearing these clothes.

SubUrban

SubUrban offers a much better line of clothing than Binco, including Mercury and Base 5. However, SubUrban is located in Ganton, the turf of the Ballas so it may be tough getting there. You will earn even more respect from pedestrians if you shop at SubUrban, but you won't be able to get the same amount of clothes at SubUrban as at Binco. A shopping spree is most likely out of the question until you've completed a fair amount of missions.

ProLaps

Located in the heart of Downtown Los Santos, ProLaps will be the place for top-of-the-line sports gear. Shorts, hats, nicer sneakers, motocycle helmets, boxing gear, and hockey masks will all be available at ProLaps. This is the place to go if you want to conceal your identity as a gang member. The clothes sold at ProLaps should only be bought if Carl is in good shape because they do not have such a wide variety of sizes. The most expensive of the three, ProLaps' clothes will give you the most respect from on-lookers.

Staying fit is essential for a good lifestyle in San Andreas. Not only will you look good, clothes will fit more easily and you will gain more respect from your gang members and pedestrians.

Staying in shape

Everyone knows that eating effects your appearance. It works the same for Carl. You eat more, you gain more. However, not only will you be obese, you will be mocked by pedestrians and even your own gang members. Also, running away from the cops with a severe case of obesity can never have a happy ending. So, you need to take care of yourself and your body. Gymnasiums placed around San Andreas will help you gain energy and burn off those extra punds you gained at Burger Shot. Exercise machines include a stationary bike and treadmill. Other exercises include bench pressing and "barbell curls." Working out will enable you to run, pedal, and swim faster. Consequently, if Carl is obese, he will be slow at all these tasks. Staying in shape will also improve your fist fights and your ability to complete normal missions (including lifting boxes, earning respect from gang members, etc.). So, be careful what you feed Carl, and make sure to exercise regularly to maintain a steady life in San Andreas.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Gangs
Gang members have lives of their own, whether they are in action or not. While standing around they drink, smoke, and socialize. If you bring enemies into friendly turf any gang member in sight will instantly join in to help you, if your relation is strong enough with them. Likewise, if you go to enemy gang territory they will all team up against you - and use intelligent tactics. They learn from each encounter, so while the first time you may have outrun your attackers after they shot up your car, the second time they could send members up ahead to intercept you. Gangs communicate with each other and change tactics based on the situation.

"We spent a lot of time getting that level of interaction right and making it unique," remarked Benzies. "We wanted to convey very clearly that the gangs had a certain way of communicating, very definite mannerisms, and yet had to create signs and language all our own that was faithful to the world we're trying to depict. It was challenging, but it adds a startling level of detail to the game."

The Orange Grove Families

Members of The Orange Grove Families wear green clothes. This gang consists of Carl Johnson, Sweet Johnson, Ryder Smoke, and at least five other gang members that are yet to be identified. Carl and Sweet Johnson are two of the most important figures in The Orange Grove Families, trying to avenge the death of their mother and younger brother, Brian Johnson.

Temple Drive Families

This Northern Los Santos-based gang is allied with Carl's crew, the Orange Grove Families. If Carl finds himself in trouble on Temple Drive Family turf, they will come to help him out.

Seville Boulevard Families

This family gang controls the southeast beaches of Los Santos. However, their turf is being taken away by the Aztecas and Vagos. The Seville Blvd. Families' main turf is south of Saints' stadium. Although they will help Carl, like the Temple Drive Families, if he is in need, internal conflict between the families means that Carl can't always rely on them.

The Ballas

Members of The Ballas wear purple clothing. The Ballas, located in Ganton (the Watts of Los Santos), are invading the "turf" of The Orange Grove Families. We also know that The Ballas are responsible for the death of Carl and Sweet's mother and brother.

Front Yard Ballas

The Front Yard Ballas, a branch of The Ballas are the Orange Grove Families' fiercest rival gang. They control Jefferson and much of Idlewood. They are notorious for brutality and drug dealing.

Rollin Heights Ballas

The Rollin Heights Ballas are another branch of The Ballas. Their main turf is in Glen Park, Los Santos, but they are slowly expanding towards Idelwood. All of the Los Santos gangs have their eye on the most "contested" turf, Idelwood.

Los Santos Vagos

Located in East Los Santos, this Hispanic gang color is yellow. They are the sworn enemies of Varrios Los Aztecas, which is another street gang. The Vagos enjoy marking their terroritory with graffiti reading "Los Santos Vagos."

Varrios Los Aztecas

This is an extremely dangerous Hispanic street gan. Violent. Proud. Psychotic. This gang, heavily involved in gun running, street violence, have traditionally been anti-narcotics. They have a long term gang feud with Los Santos Vagos, as well as rivalries with all other street gangs in Los Santos. They have a dislike of San Fierro Rifa. The gang color of Los Aztecas is turquoise.

San Fierro Rifa

Although the company name is not confirmed, outdoor vendors around town will definitely be great places for quick snacks. However, it won't be a good idea to eat the junk food served here everyday - even if you really want to see the sexy cashiers!

The Triads

Not much has been said about this gang so far. However, we know that The Triads are located in San Fierro (most likely Chinatown if you recall GTAIII). The blind Wu Zi Mu is the leader of this gang.

Da Nang Boys

Located in Easter Basin, San Fierro, this Vietnamese street gang is extremely violent. The Da Nang Boys, a practicalloy uncontrollable gang, is at war with local Chinese ("Triads") gangs.

1. Q: Why are some properties not for sale?
A: The game just doesn't want you buying them right now, come back later for them to be open and up for sale.

2. Q: What are the best ways to get money for the houses?
A: My favorite is the Burglar one, park you van next to the neighborhood by the drop off point, and go between to houses, grabbing the big TV, this will give you 20-30 Items and $10000-$20000. You can also do the taxi missions or police, ambulance missions. Once you can bring in export cars at San Fierro, it gets extremely easy to get money, just bring them an Infernus.

-Note- Tip sent it When you go to Las Venturas there is a save location outside the four dragons casino. Save and go inside. You should have about 100,000 dollars. Then go to the black jack table. Play and win money buy pushing square to 'double' the bet. If you lose, reload your save. If you win a lot, save and repeat the process. Play the 100,000 max wager table until you get to the 1 million dollar max wager table. Repeat the process. I went from 86,000 dollars to about 1.8 million in less than 15 minutes.

3. Q: What is the reward for getting all the properties?
A: Just another thing you can say you did. 4. Q: What is the point of the properties? A: To let you save and may allow you to store vechicles.

5. Q: How do you buy property?
A: Go over the green icon and press "L1."

6. Q: How does Wang Cars open?
A: I heard you need to complete driving school and get 70% or better, this makes a lot of sense since I completed it right when it opened and I got the call when I said it happened before.

7. Q: I completed all of the Four Dragons Casino and it never turned into an assset? What did I do wrong?
A: Early on I believed it was an asset, but after completing the game myself I found out that it is not an asset at all.

GTA Liberty City Stories

Setting
We know that Liberty City will remain the same, or close to the same, as it was in Grand Theft Auto III. There will still be Portland, Staunton Island, and Shoreside Vale. There is rumors that some land has been added, such as the ghost town, which is rumored to be behind the closed up tunnel in SSV in GTAIII. Some things may also be explained, such as why the road in Saint Mark's was blown up, as well as the building near it. There are also subtle changes, since it takes place 2-4 years prior to GTAIII. Luigi's Sex Club 7 is now named Paulie's Revue Bar and is run by JD O'Toole, who is Triad-affiliated.

The characters in the games of the Grand Theft Auto series are always distinct. Each with their own personality, the series would not be as good without them. In Liberty City Stories, you will see familiar faces from Grand Theft Auto III, but you will also be meeting several new characters. Read up and find out all about the characters in this installment of GTA.

Toni Cipriani

Toni has just returned to Liberty City after laying low for the past four years for having taken out one of Salvatore Leone’s rivals. Now Toni is back in Liberty City but has found that his favor to the Don was not as appreciated as he had hoped. Much to his chagrin, he is now working for the Don under Vincenzo Cilli, The Don’s new right hand man. Toni has much to prove to the Don and himself.

Salvatore Leone

The head of the Leone Family in Liberty City and one of the most feared Don’s in all of America. Always working towards expanding Leone operations and dominating the underworld, Salvatore runs his family with traditional Sicilian values and an iron fist.

Kazuki Kasen

Well dressed and well groomed at all times, Kazuki Kasen is currently the head of the Yakuza in Liberty City. A very ambitious and driven man, Kazuki feels a heavy burden to do well for his family in America and has recently begun forcing his way into many mafia controlled areas. He married the lovely Toshiko Kasen only for political reasons. Kazuki seems to prefer the company of his Yakuza men to spending time with Toshiko. Or any woman for that matter…

Toshiko Kasen

Toshiko Kasen is the beautiful and noble wife of Kazuki Kasen. She is however terribly neglected by her husband who much prefers the company of his Yakuza soldiers. Hell hath no fury…

Donald Love

Known as an entrepreneur, industrialist and philanthropist, Love’s many donations to local causes has made him a popular figure in Liberty City. This hides a colder darker side to Love, however – What he wants, he gets. And nothing or no one can stand in his way. He is currently looking to become mayor of Liberty City.

Avery Carrington

A self made millionaire and property tycoon. After receiving surgery to remove a cancerous lump in his throat, his voice is semi- robotic, being amplified through an electronic device he holds at his throat. Despite this, he is never short for words as he’s always dispensing pearls of wisdom to anyone within earshot. Extremely wily and not to be trusted.

Ray Machowski

Ray Machowski is a straight as an arrow cop who has just been teamed with underhanded detective Leone McAffery. Ray is leary of the way Leone does business and does his best to keep his own nose clean. But as he discovers, staying clean in Liberty City is harder than it seems.?

Vincenzo Cilli

When Toni left Liberty City Vincenzo “Lucky” Cilli was still getting drinks for the made guys in Leone bars and poker rooms. His good looks, education and smooth demeanor have enabled him to rise through the Family ranks quickly these last couple years in Toni’s absence. At heart Vinnie is only really interested in himself, however.

Jane Hopper

Jane Hopper is Liberty City’s corrupt union boss who will often ‘contract’ her unions out to the highest bidder. Ultimately, she is only looking to see how much money she can bankroll from otherwise unpleasant Union situations. Her hardball approach of doing business makes Jane more of a man in many people’s eyes than even the toughest wise guys or city officials. Though, rumor has it that Jane may actually be a man herself. Or used to be.

Leon McAffrey

Not taking his actual job of being an officer of the law too seriously, McAffrey has found that helping out the criminal and underhanded political elements in Liberty City pays better than Uncle Sam ever could. Buying his way to the rank of detective he has found that money does all the talking and he has little interest in climbing the ranks or garnering favor within the department.

Pauli Sindacco

Head of the Sindacco family interests in Liberty City, Paulie Sindacco is rarely seen and has become known as ‘The Invisible Don’. He spends a great deal of time traveling to and from Las Venturas where many of the Sindacco holdings are located. Those that don’t fall in line with Paulie’s views or that don’t know their role and overstep their boundaries are given one way tickets to the bottom of the river.

Joseph Daniel O'Toole

Joseph Daniel O’Toole is both an interminable pervert and career criminal. He currently finds himself in the employ of the Sindaccos managing their girly club, “Paulie’s Review Bar” in the red light district of the city. JD has been working his way up the power ladder within the Sindacco family for several years but has recently hit a roadblock due to his mixed Irish/Italian ancestry.

Giovanni Casa

A stocky girthsome man, Giovanni Casa runs one of Liberty City’s favorite Italian delis in the St. Marks district and has caught the eye of Toni’s mother, Ma Cipriani, with his special spicy Sicilian sausage. Giovanni is a tough talker but when it comes time to back it up he reverts to his true cowardly self. Ultimately, Casa is a mommy’s boy, and he doesn't seem to care whose mommy.

Ma Cipriani

Toni’s dearly beloved mother is none too pleased that Toni was gone so long without so much as a phone call and believes her son has been too scared to show his face in Liberty City. She constantly compares Toni to other men in the neighborhood, including his own father, God rest his soul, and doesn’t think Toni quite measures up. Toni is determined to prove her wrong.

Franco Forreli

The epitome of selfish greed, Franco is the diminutive boss of the Forelli Family. The Forelli’s are a serious thorn in the Don Salvatore’s side and are currently warring with them for control of Liberty City.

Massimo Torini

One of the Cosa Nostra’s ‘old guard’ from Sicily, Torrini is tough and ruthless. He has come to Liberty City to help stabilize the warring crime families. Though where his true intentions lie are hidden behind is cold, dark eyes.

Mayor R.C. Hole

Hole has worked in public office for a long time and having seen it all, has since lost faith in the democratic system. His only interest now is to see the end of his term and retire to a better place backed by a huge retirement fund. If that’s achieved through ill-gotten gains, so be it.

Maria Latore

Maria is a beautiful and obnoxious party girl who currently finds herself the arm candy of Don Salvatore Leone. She enjoys the attention (and money) she gets from him but doesn’t really care for Sal very much. She yearns for real love but probably wouldn’t know it if she found it...

8-Ball

An explosives specialist and demolition expert with a penchant for helping people get into trouble, 8-Ball helps Toni turn the tides in the war against rival families.

Micky Hamfists

Micky, currently working as the Leone’s heavy, is the epitome of ‘dumb muscle’. Micky could have been a pro-football player but was even too dumb for that. Despite his lack of mental acumen, Micky is loyal to the Leone’s to the very last.

Ned Burner

Ned is an investigative journalist for the Liberty Tree newspaper who will do whatever it takes to get his sensationalistic stories. Or create his own.
